Scorpions in Hadaba, Hurghada? |

A resident of Hadaba, Hurghada found a scorpion in her garden this week. Another resident thinks it may be due to the road works, which is moving around a lot of earth. So residents beware and inform your children never to touch or play with a scorpion.
“What a Scorpion Sting Looks and Feels Like - If a person gets stung by a scorpion, the area of the sting will hurt and may get swollen or red, depending on the type of scorpion. More severe reactions from the venom (poison) involving other parts of the body also can occur.
What You Should Do- If you ever think you've been stung by a scorpion, tell an adult immediately. Because it's hard to tell a dangerous scorpion from one that is harmless, all scorpion stings must be treated by a doctor. With an adult's help, put an ice pack on the sting immediately to keep down swelling.
What a Doctor Will Do- Doctors treat someone stung by a scorpion with medications if needed that help take pain away and control the body's reactions to the venom. They may give a medicine called antivenin that fights the scorpion's venom to someone who doesn't get better with the other medications.”

Ladies: Care for your breasts!
The female breast is an important organ that provides food for babies, and gives pride to bearer. Yet, it is the nightmare of every woman to hear that a relative or friend of hers got breast cancer.
Knowing that cancer is just like any other disease; it can be cured if detected early. To avoid any mishaps, you should be aware of, see, feel and touch your breasts. Don’t be shy, and don’t be oblivious to any change you may notice. Seek medical advice in case of doubt. Don’t follow the “wait and see” policy. It may be too long a wait until you get the bad news.
The following diagrams show you how to carry a quick breast examination. This should be done monthly in fixed times (following your menstrual cycle). It will take only a few minutes of your precious time; but if neglected, it may cost you a lifetime.
Again, don't be shy to ask for a medical consultation; and remember that 90% of the breast lumps accidentally discovered in a female breast are benign and are due to normal evolution of the breast tissue. They can be removed by a simple surgical procedure.
