New pyramid discovered in Egypt |

SAQQARA, Egypt — Archaeologists have discovered a new pyramid under the sands of Saqqara, an ancient burial site that remains largely unexplored and has yielded a string of unearthed pyramids in recent years, Egypt's antiquities chief announced Tuesday.
The 4,300-year-old monument most likely belonged to the queen mother of the founder of Egypt's 6th Dynasty, several hundred years after the building of the famed Great Pyramids of Giza, the country's antiquities chief Zahi Hawass said as he took media on a tour of the find.
The discovery is part of the sprawling necropolis and burial site of the rulers of ancient Memphis, the capital of Egypt's Old Kingdom, about 12 miles (19 kilometers) south of Giza.
All that remains of the pyramid is a square-shaped 16-foot (5-meter) tall structure that had been buried under 65 feet (25 meters) of sand.
"There was so much sand dumped here that no one had any idea there was something buried underneath," said Hawass.
Hawass' team has been excavating at the location for two years, but he said it was only two months ago when they determined the structure, with sides about 72 feet (22 meters) long, was the base of a pyramid. They also found parts of the pyramid's white limestone casing — believed to have once covered the entire structure — which enabled them to calculate that the complete pyramid was once 45 feet (14 meters) high.

Marcel Berlins climbs aboard the SS Sudan - and step straight into the pages of an Agathie Christie novel
LET'S get one important fact out of the way. Of all my two dozen fellow voyagers on the SS Sudan, plying the Nile between Aswan and Luxor, not a single one was murdered.
This was in sharp contrast to the experience of five passengers who undertook a trip on the very same boat more than 70 years ago, and were all shot dead. That's a death rate of one in four.
There was only one essential difference between the two voyages: the 1936 one was fictional. It is, though, well known to millions of readers of Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile.
Many more who have not read the book have seen at least one of the two films of it, with Peter Ustinov and David Suchet playing the ill-moustached Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. The steamship played itself, rather more convincingly. According to the judges, Egypt won the award due to its language skills, young population and growing list of global sourcing investments.
The idea for the novel came to Christie when, during an Egyptian winter holiday, she went on the same journey that she made Poirot take a year later. That voyage is no longer available; the building of the Aswan Dam in the 1960s made it impossible. But I went on a Nile cruise even more remarkable, north from Aswan to Luxor, with three luxurious nights on board and some of the most fascinating, awe-inspiring, breathtaking and beautiful sights in the world along the way.

Another holiday resort will be added to the comprehensive Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts portfolio at the Red Sea beginning in 2010. A management agreement was recently signed with the owning company International Company for Tourism and Hotel Investments for the exclusive Mövenpick Resort Abu Soma with 424 rooms and suites.
Abu Soma, with its countless coral reefs, is exceptionally popular among member of the diving community. Just 45 kilometers south of Hurghada and 150 kilometers north of Marsa Alam, Abu Soma is also beloved for its gradually sloping beaches and as an ideal starting point for sea or desert excursions – Luxor is only 200 kilometers away, for example.
“We are proud to carry out this unique project in cooperation with Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. The Swiss hotel group enjoys an excellent reputation here and is one of the strongest hotel brands in Egypt,” said Abdul Aziz Al Mawardi, the owner of the project.
The Mövenpick Resort Abu Soma is located directly on the shore of the Red Sea and has 424 spaciously laid out rooms and suites. Several swimming pools and water landscapes enrich the vast gardens leading directly to the sandy seaside beach.

Egypt move one place up in FIFA ranking |

CAIRO: Egypt made slight progress in the monthly FIFA ranking for national teams, moving to 21st place.
Egypt are yet to make it to the top 20 in 2008, as the 21st spot represents a year-high for the African champions.
The Pharaohs lead the way for Arab team, with their closest rivals Morocco lying 43rd. However, Egypt comes second continentally as Cameroon stand at the 14th position.
European champions Spain remained top, while runners-up Germany took over in second place from world champions Italy.

Dr. Mark Goulston, a Los Angeles psychiatrist who once trained FBI hostage negotiators, said parents must leave behind their fear, denial and "don't ask, don't tell" avoidance of confrontation and trust their guts in recognizing potentially violent behaviour.
To help rather than hinder, try calming down an upset adolescent in a heated moment by repeating what he says in a slow, measured tone. Hopefully, he'll begin to listen at the speed you're talking and feel validated rather than violated.

The problem is in our super busy 21st century, the body is still reacting to all stress this way and for extended periods of time. This leads to chronically elevated levels of stress hormones in the body which can impact negatively on your metabolism, make you feel tired, lethargic and reduce your immune system so you get sick.
As a recently recovered Stress Head Myself. Here are My Top Five Tips to start doing today to reduce the stress in your life.
1 - Spring Clean Your House: Get rid of what you don’t use or need, visual clutter and mess in our homes adds to our sense of “chaos”. Reduce this and you will feel better.
2 - Plan for Tomorrow: Sit down of an evening and plan for the following day: where you need to be and when; things you need to take; prepare food to take with you; even plan when you will do your exercise, and stick to it.
3 - Be Anti-Procrastination: Tasks that we can do that we keep putting off, continue to sit in the back of our head all day, just teasing us. Do the vital things you need to do, but hate doing. It will free up your thoughts to focus on more enjoyable things!
4 - Meditate: Find time each day to switch off from everything. Nothing fancy or crazy, just find somewhere to lie down for five minutes and close your eyes and concentrate on your breaths, don’t stress if thoughts enter your mind just let them pass and bring your attention back to your breathing.
5 - Streamline Your Life: Create a list of the five most important things in your life. If you find something that you are stressing about and it isn’t on that list, forget about it! If it is something you absolutely have to deal with, deal with it as soon as possible, then you can go back to living with what it is that you value.
