There was plenty of movement lower down after the African Cup of Nations, with tournament host Ghana becoming the continent's highest ranked team by rising 29 places — the most of the 207 teams in the rankings — to 14th after reaching the semifinals.
In the rankings released Wednesday, runner-up Cameroon moved up eight spots to 17th and semifinalist Ivory Coast up 14 to 24th.
Argentina stayed atop the world rankings for the fifth straight month.
With few matches played by the top teams over the past month, Greece's rise of one place to 10th was the only change in the top 10. Brazil, Italy, Spain and Germany rounded out the top five places, followed by the Czech Republic, France, Portugal, Netherlands and Greece.

Apnea Academy Red Sea writes that their company has worked in the freediving industry since 2003 and their facility has accommodated many events that have brought hundreds of freedivers to Sharm el Sheikh, for apnea competitors and all levels of apnea courses.
The annual appointments in May and November " Freediving Week" is at its fourth edition now. These events register the presence of about 300 persons per year; an International Competition, called " City of Peace, in 2004 (CWT and STA) with 54 competitors; four AIDA World Record Attempts of which two by Carlos Coste and two by William Trubridge in 2006; 2th trophy "City of Peace" in 2007 (CWT and CNF); organizer of 4th Individual world championship AIDA 2007; logistic support to the scientific team of CNR (National Research Council) of Pisa – Italy, that in Sharm at the Apnea Academy's center is creating the first permanent underwater scientific laboratory.

Emperor Divers have long been one of the biggest supporters of HEPCA, not to mention one of HEPCA's founding members, and recognized worldwide as setting the standards of best practice in matters of environmental awareness.
The nomination of Emperor Divers for HEPCA‚s Violator of the Month is therefore not an easy one. HEPCA has been shocked to receive at least 10 reports over the last two months of major violations committed by boats and staff of the Emperor Fleet. These violations include anchoring and littering within National Park boundaries, failure to observe the new regulations regarding visits to the wreck of the SS Thistlegorm (currently undergoing much-needed conservation work) and finally disregarding the new mooring system in place at the wreck.
Despite Emperor Divers' illustrious history and well-known commitment as a company to environmental issues, these violations show that no company, no matter how large or well regarded, is immune to those lacking respect for their environment.
Furthermore, the dismissive attitude of some Emperor Divers staff members is both unjustifiable and destructive. We expect the wise leadership of Emperor Divers to take all necessary measures to ensure that these violations will never again be repeated. Violator of the Month is an initiative taken by HEPCA on regular basis along other legal violation procedures.

There are great historical treasures yet to be discovered and all the desert sunsets you could wish for. You can puff away on shisha pipes and race quad bikes over the dunes. But the reason most people go to the Red Sea coast has nothing to do with what's on the land. Its appeal is almost entirely underwater.
The coral reefs, the closest tropical reefs to Europe, off the Sinai Peninsula's resorts such as Sharm el Sheikh or Dahab, and Red Sea Riviera towns including Hurghada and Taba are said to be among the most spectacular in the world. The colours are astounding, the fish unforgettable. It is just terra firma that fails to leave such a lasting impression.
But the Egyptian government intends to change all that. In a move to boost tourist numbers to Egypt from 9.7 million to 14 million by 2011, it is giving the green light to a growing number of large new resorts along the Red Sea, where foreigners can buy freehold property (unlike on the Sinai Peninsula) and, in many cases, park their super-yacht.

The organizing committee of the Annual Hala (Hello) February Music Festival in Kuwait has announced that Egyptian singer Amr Diab will not participate in this year’s events. The committee stated that Diab was not nominated alongside other singers who will take part in the festival due to the fact that he demanded a wage of 200 thousand US dollar for his performance; an amount the committee felt was too high.
The committee added that Diab’s wage for last year’s performance was 80 thousand US dollars only and the enormous increase, in addition to the singer’s conditions that he would only participate if Egyptian singers Tamer Husni and Mohammad Hamaqi were not invited without revealing the reasons for such a request.
Negotiations are currently being held with other Egyptian singers, who are as popular as Amr, to participate in the events of this year’s festivals, according to the Kuwaiti based daily, Al Qabas.

What you will need:
• ½ egg shell
• Wooden doll stand
• 2 large white pom poms
• 4 medium white pom poms
• 1 miniature pink pom pom
• Scrap of black felt
• Pink and white acrylic paint
• White felt
• White craft glue
• Scissors
• Thin white ribbon
How to make it:
1. Be sure egg shell is clean and dry. Paint outside of egg shell pink.
2. Paint the doll stand with a mixture of white and pink paint. Let dry.
3. Glue the egg shell to the doll stand.
4. Add some glue to the inside of the egg shell. Place one of the large white pom poms inside the egg shell. Glue the other large white pom pom on top of the first one.
5. Glue two medium white pom poms to the inside of the egg shell so that they show at the top of the shell (paws).
6. Glue the other two medium white pom poms to the head for the cheeks.
7. Glue the miniature pink pom pom in between the two cheeks.
8. Cut two long ears from the white felt and glue to the top of the head at the sides. Fold them downward and glue the ends to the egg shell.
9. Cut two small crescent shaped slits from the black felt and glue on to head for sleepy eyes.
10. Tie ribbon around the bottom of the egg shell and form a bow, trim the ends.
